Power supply

The machine is designed to run from a 220 +/-10V mains supply (for CIS and EU countries).

Peak power consumption (while preparing a drink, with the standard cooler on, average) — up to 210 Wh.

Total monthly consumption (with the standard cooler on, average) — 32 kW.

Reference
Reference

For stable operation, a line-interactive UPS rated 450VA / 240W (or higher) is recommended.

IMPORTANT! Use a dedicated socket to power the machine. Running the machine with several other loads on the same socket can cause unstable operation and faults.

Water supply

Two water-supply configurations are available:

Switching the machine off without first shutting down the computer can corrupt data and make the machine unstable!

Shutdown procedure:

  • Press the
    TURN ON
    TURN ON
    button. Wait for the computer to switch off (the screen goes dark, then flickers different colours).
  • Switch off the main power toggle, setting it to "O".

Connecting payment devices

Before installing payment devices, make sure they work with the MDB protocol. The connector is on the inside of the door.

Article image

Before installing a Vendista terminal, read the guide.

When using terminals from other manufacturers, check the configuration with the equipment supplier. The following settings are required:

  • MDB protocol level = 3;
  • Always Idle option (not pseudo, not emulation) = on;
  • Ignore machine prices = off;
  • Payment timeout = 30 sec;
  • Time to wait for product dispense before automatic refund = 180 sec;
  • Starting/maximum credit and multiplier settings — optional, per the currency used.

Two devices can be connected at once — a cashless payment terminal and a bill acceptor.

Before installing a bill acceptor, read the guide.

You can set up QR-code payments via the Fast Payment System (SBP) connection.

For companies using RFID technology for payment, there is an integration solution for these modules. Contact the sales department for details.

Loading powders

  1. Remove the protective cover of the mixing unit;
  2. Turn the container's product-feed chute to the upper position;
  3. Lift the front of the container and free it from the auger and auger-drive motor coupling;
  4. Pull the container towards you, remove it, open its lid, load powder to the top level and check the
    nut tightness
    nut tightness
    .
  5. Close the container lid and refit the container in place.
  6. In the service menu, set the product stock values according to the container fill.

Connecting liquid concentrates

Rules and procedure for installing concentrate containers:

  1. Take the concentrate container out of the cardboard box;
  2. Fit the connector onto the valve and turn the connector's handle clockwise as far as it will go — the red flags on the valve should move to the lower position and concentrate should enter the hose;
  3. Prime the system using the
    PUMP SYRUP
    PUMP SYRUP
    buttons on the door until concentrate comes out of the pour hoses.

It is recommended to place concentrate containers as high as possible to prevent liquid draining back down the hoses.

Product dispense calibration

Calibration is done in two cases — before putting the machine into service and when changing the products used during operation. You will need a measuring cup and kitchen scales.

Initial calibration includes:

  • Verifying the water dose;
  • Verifying the powder doses;
  • Verifying the syrup doses (if present).

Re-verification is done when the products used change (different brand, different line).

Calibration consists of dispensing the product, weighing it, and entering corrections on the machine screen. Open the
service menu
service menu
, open the
Calibration value
Calibration value
menu on the "Configurator" tab, and follow the on-screen instructions.

Connecting to the internet

Telemetry and remote access require an internet connection. Three connection types are used.

LAN cable connection

Connect a LAN cable to the
port
port
next to the power cable. No setup required.

WiFi connection

For stable operation of the module, fit the standard receiver antennas into the connectors on the machine's cover.

Video: WiFi connection

Mobile internet (GSM module)

The GSM module is not part of the basic configuration and is supplied separately. It must be installed in place of the WiFi module. Before installing and configuring, read the guide.

Authorising and managing the machine in Shaker telemetry

Telemetry requires a registered user cabinet and a permanent internet connection. Before connecting, read the guide.

Setting up remote access

Remote access to the machine uses the AnyDesk program. Request the connection ID and password from Shaker technical support. Remote access requires internet. The program runs on the machine's desktop.

Connecting the cup dispenser unit

The S and Milkshaker models can be fitted with a cup dispenser mechanism. The assembly and setup scheme is in the guide.

Installing and configuring the compressor cooler

The compressor cooler is a separate cooler unit connected to Shaker machines. See the Shaker Compressor Cooler installation guide.

Standard flow cooler — diagnostics, installation and removal

If you have problems with the standard cooling (drinks become warm with the cooler on, the case fans do not spin), see the Standard cooler diagnostics guide.

Errors and solutions

Machine error list:

Question: Drinks disappear from the screen. After a reboot they appear but immediately vanish.

Answer: Check the
product stock values
product stock values
in the service menu. When stock reaches low values (fewer than 5 servings), the machine hides the drink from selection.

Question: The machine shows Error 1 No Water, but water was just refilled.

Answer: After refilling/replacing the water container, prime the system to remove air. Use the mixer flush (
buttons 1 and 2
buttons 1 and 2
) in the service menu. Press
CONTROLLER REBOOT
CONTROLLER REBOOT
. After servicing, it is recommended to make a test drink to check stable operation. A fuller description is in the Error 1 No Water article.

Question: The mixers often clog with powder. Why does this happen?

Answer: There can be several reasons:

  • Incorrect mixer assembly — read the assembly guide and watch the service training video;
  • Poor cleaning of the mixers, pour hoses and nozzles (see the service video);
  • Incorrectly chosen drink dosages (too much powder and too little water);
  • Insufficient water pressure in the system (see Error 1 No Water and the setup instructions);
  • Poor powder quality — loss of flowability (clumping), dampness from improper storage. Hard particles, crumbs and dried-fruit pieces in the powders can also cause frequent clogging even with regular maintenance.

Question: After switching on, the screen flashes different colours but there is no image.

Answer: The machine's computer did not start. Press the
TURN ON
TURN ON
service button to start it.

Question: The machine reboots right after preparation starts. What should I do?

Answer: Disassemble and wash the mixer units, and check that the parts are assembled correctly.
