Mechanical diagnostics

Cell test

Open
Error diagnostics - Cell test
Error diagnostics - Cell test
. To test any single cell, select it on the matrix and press "Test". To test all cells, press "Select all" and "Test". In this mode the machine checks the cell motors' operation with the optical sensor on — with no products in the cells, each cell will show a dispense error (if the dispense sensor is on). You don't need to worry about this yet — just make sure all cells complete the dispense cycle correctly.

Motor calibration

Cell motor calibration is done if the motor's start and end positions fail.

Open
Error diagnostics - Cell test
Error diagnostics - Cell test
. Select the required cells or all cells and press "Calibration". After the motor finishes, set the cell spring to the correct position. Repeat the cell calibration and spring-position adjustment until the product dispenses normally.

Setting the spring position

For correct dispensing, springs are positioned according to their purpose:

  1. Spring for 10 and 14 products (small/medium snacks) — position
    90 degrees left
    90 degrees left
    ;
  2. Spring for 5 products (bottles) — position
    90 degrees right
    90 degrees right
    .

To adjust the position, pull out the shelf, grip the spring's locking wheel, pull it towards you together with the spring, and turn it to the required position. Gently release the wheel.

To change the number and height of shelves and to replace springs, refer to the Changing the Shelf Configuration (Shaker Prime) guide.

Working with "Chestny Znak" (mandatory product labelling)

Working with this product category is done by withdrawing the product from circulation on the grounds of sale via a vending machine. Read more about Chestny Znak here; for setup on the Vendista side, refer to this guide.

Product database

Adding products has 3 stages:

  1. Preparing product images;
  2. Adding new products in the telemetry cabinet;
  3. Uploading the product database file to the machine.

Preparing product images

  1. Find a suitable product photo of 400-700 pixels per side (no smaller; larger is fine);
  2. Crop the photo, leaving a small margin from the edges, and remove the background (you can use a free editor);
  3. Rename each photo according to the product name (e.g. "Still water, apple flavour").

Adding new products in the telemetry cabinet

This stage requires a telemetry cabinet. If you don't have one, send your registration details (full name, phone number, email) to technical support.

After logging in, select the "Products" tab in the side panel. This tab offers a product search bar, adding new products, and exporting the product database to a file.

Article image

Press "+Add" to add new products. Fill in the required fields:

  • "Brand" field — the product's brand name (if missing, you can create a new one);
  • "Product" field — the product name;
  • Product barcode (can be arbitrary);
  • Product photo — for correct display on the machine, rotate the image correctly. Photos of bottles and long products should be

  3. Close the app on the screen. Swipe the bottom panel with the icons up and open the File Manager;
  4. Tap the icon at the top left, open the side panel, find your flash drive and open it. Copy the goods file (press and hold until it is selected, then press "Copy" at the bottom left);
  5. Open the side panel, go to "Home folder" - "Vending files" - "goods". Press "Paste" at the bottom left, then "Overwrite";
  6. Minimise the windows, start the app on the main screen, and enter the admin menu;
  7. On the "General settings" tab, under "Update product list", press JSON, confirm, and wait for the product lists to update. Attention! Updating the product database deletes all previously loaded assortment. Products not in the new database will be removed.

Errors, problems and solutions

  • Question: A cell on the purchase screen is greyed out (inactive) and cannot be bought from. Answer: Check the cell's product stock. Run a test dispense and make sure the cell is not blocked due to a failed dispense.

  • Question: A product cell is not shown on the purchase screen and is not in the settings either. Answer: Check the wiring harness connector to the cell motor. With poor connector contact, the cell is disabled from sale. Reboot the machine and check whether the cell appears. If there is no result after reboot, submit a request to technical support for diagnostics.

  • Question: Some shelves/cells have disappeared. Checking the shelf and cell connectors and rebooting did not help. Answer: Disconnect and reconnect the cell motor power connector and the shelf harness connector, then refresh the shelf configuration in the Cell configuration section. If this does not help, submit a request to technical support.

  • Question: The machine dispenses several products from a cell when only one unit is purchased. Answer: The cell motor needs replacing. Submit a request to technical support for diagnostics.

  • Question: After any purchase an auto-refund occurs. The product is always dispensed with an extra spring turn. Answer: There is a problem with the dispense optical sensor. Turn it off and submit a request to technical support for diagnostics.

  • Question: A cell is inactive and shows a
    wrench icon
    wrench icon
    . Answer: The cell was disabled in software after a failed dispense. Open Cell management - Cell configuration, enable it and check the dispense.
  • Question: Are there height limits for products? Answer: Yes, one-litre bottles are not allowed.

  • Question: At what height can bottles and cans of drinks be placed? Answer: Plastic bottles can go on any shelf; metal cans no higher than shelf 3.

  • Question: The door-open code from the settings menu does not work — what should I do? Answer: Check which code is entered in the machine settings and regenerate it. Open General settings - Devices; the QR-code scanner device must be assigned a serial port (WMC COM or CDC), port speed 9600. Press the connection-check button and make sure the device status is green. Go to the Server tab and make sure nothing is selected in the "Telemetry server selection" field.
