Connection setup

The snack machine connects to the Shaker machine using an adapter cable with

With the power off, connect the adapter to the machine's controller board at

After connecting the machines with the cable, power on the equipment. Next, configure the software data synchronisation. This requires the Shaker machine to be connected to the internet and a working Shaker telemetry cabinet.

  1. Create a trade point and authorise the Shaker machine on it. If you already have a trade point with an authorised machine, go to the next step;
  2. Add a

    to this trade point — model Snack, with any name and serial number;
  3. On the Shaker machine, open the service menu and, in the engineering menu, press "Registration". If all previous steps were done correctly, the

    appears on the authorisation screen. Press "Start application".
  4. Open the service menu again. On the "Configurator" tab, enable the

Checking operation

Open the Shaker machine's service menu. A separate
Snack module

tab is available for controlling the snack machine. Menu options:
  • "Save" button — saves the entered changes.
  • Cooler on/off — controls the machine's cooler.
  • Refrigeration run time — how long the cooler runs, in minutes, before the next shutdown.
  • Refrigeration off time — how long the cooler stays off, in minutes, before the next start.
  • Defrost run time — manufacturer's recommendation is 15 minutes.
  • Set temperature — set the temperature in degrees Celsius.
  • Current temperature — the current temperature inside the snack machine in degrees Celsius.
  • Lighting — turn the machine's internal lighting on/off.
  • Product dispense sensor — turn the product-dispense detection sensor on/off.
  • Cell test — enter a cell number and press "Cell test" to check a product cell.
  • Test all cells — checks all available cells in turn and reports the status.

ATTENTION! To save changes, press the "Save" button!


Configuring shelves and cells

To configure shelves and cells, open the
Configurator sub-tab

To change the number of shelves, change the value in the
Number of shelves

field.
To change the number of cells on a shelf, change the value in the

field.
To merge cells, select two adjacent cells and press

. Cells are un-merged the same way.
To set a
cell's capacity and minimum stock

at which the cell is excluded from sale, select the cell, tap "MIN stock" or "Cell capacity" (it highlights green) and increase the value with "+" or decrease it with "-".

Press "Save" after entering changes.


Loading the product assortment into telemetry

Configure the assortment in the telemetry cabinet.

The assortment can be added in two ways — manual entry or uploading an XLSX table.

In the telemetry cabinet, open the side "Products" tab. Press

and enter:
  1. The product's 13-digit barcode;
  2. The product name (the name shown to customers);
  3. The product brand (any brand can be chosen; the brand is not shown to customers and is only needed for correct file structure).

To prepare a product table, open the side "Products" tab. Press "Export" and save the file — this creates a table template to fill in. Fill in the table:

  1. Column 1 — product name;
  2. Column 2 — product brand (enter bombBar — the brand is not shown to customers but is needed for correct file parsing);
  3. Column 3 — the product's 13-digit barcode.
Save the table. In the telemetry cabinet, open the side "Products" tab. Press "Import" and select your table. If all fields are filled in correctly, the added product

Setting the assortment and prices in telemetry

To place products in the machine's cells, open your trade point, select the snack machine and go to the "Settings" tab.

In the basic configuration, the machine has 6 shelves of 10 cells. 60 positions are available for products.

Product placement rules:

  • For a double cell, the product is placed on an ODD position.

    , the first shelf has 5 double cells. The product is linked to positions 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.
  • For a single cell, the product is specified in order.

    , the second shelf has 10 regular cells. The product is linked to positions 11-20.
  • Position numbering for shelves:
  1. 1-10 — shelf 1;
  2. 11-20 — shelf 2;
  3. 21-30 — shelf 3;
  4. 31-40 — shelf 4;
  5. 41-50 — shelf 5;
  6. 51-60 — shelf 6.
  • A price must be specified for each position.
  • After setting the assortment and prices, scroll the position list down and press "Update".

Machine trade matrix

Open the machine's service menu and go to the "Snack module" tab. Open the "Trade matrix" sub-tab.

The trade matrix shows the machine's current configuration and cell statuses.

Tap any active cell to view its information. When a cell is selected, it shows the product name (as specified in telemetry), the product price, the current stock and the cell status.

To top up a product's stock, press
+ or -

To change a product's price, tap the price field and enter the change using the on-screen keyboard.

To disable a cell, press "Disable cell".

Disabled cells or cells with a dispense error are marked with a lock icon. To enable a cell, press

Purchase

The purchase process works as follows:

  1. The customer presses the

  2. Enters the product number shown on the shelf under the product cell;
  3. The product name and price appear on the screen;
  4. The customer selects a payment method and presses "Pay";
  5. After the payment is successfully charged, the machine turns on the motor of the selected cell and dispenses the product.

Problems and solutions

Dispensing does not work on any cell: Make sure there are NO foreign objects in the
product-dispense sensor zone

. The sensor frames must not be blocked.

Assortment and price changes are not shown on the machine: Make sure the machine is connected to the internet.

Selecting a cell shows "This cell is unavailable": Open the trade matrix and make sure the cell is not locked and the product stock is not below the minimum.
