Replacing the Button Board (Shaker S)

ATTENTION! Carry out all work with the machine powered off. To access the button board on the door:

Unscrew the door cover screws:

Remove the machine's rear cover and pull out connector #22 on the controller board:

Set the multimeter to

and place probe #1 on the wire contact on the connector:

Place probe #2 on the indicated board element:

Check the multimeter reading while pressing the FREE MODE or SERVICE MODE buttons on the door. To test the second button, move probe #1 to the other contact on the connector. When the buttons are pressed, the multimeter shows small values (around 0.05). Values of 0 or 1 indicate no contact or a short circuit. In that case the door button board must be replaced.

Replacing the button board

To do this:

1. Disconnect the connector on the board (mark which side it was connected to) and unscrew the old board's screws:

1. Fit the new board and reconnect the connector;
2. Switch on the machine and check that all buttons work.

Checking for board noise protection

Later versions of the controller board have noise protection for the service buttons. You can check whether it is present by unscrewing the board and inspecting its reverse side. If the soldered diode shown is missing, submit a request to technical support about upgrading the board. A 0805 chip is used, 0.015 µF, at least 16V, with any dielectric.
